Would you like to organise events as part of the Festival of Solidarity?
Here’s what you need to do to get involved…

When does the Festival of Solidarity take place?

The Festival of Solidarity takes place every year during the second half of November. In 2022, it will run from Friday 18 November to Sunday 4 December.

Who can organise the Festival of Solidarity?

Charities, NGOs, local authorities, schools, universities, community education organisations, socio-cultural centres, trade unions, works councils, residents’ groups… The diversity of the Festival of Solidarity’s participants is the strength of this national and decentralised event, as it showcases the many facets of solidarity whilst promoting a shared message and common values.

Every participant in the Festival agrees to the principles of the Festival of Solidarity Charter, and in particular that their actions must not have the primary aim of raising money or collecting goods. Raising awareness of solidarity means adopting an attitude of exchange rather than a commercial approach!

What topics can be covered?

The environment, migration, finance, trade, food, health, education, community life, culture… All these topics can be explored through the lens of solidarity, from the local to the international level; every theme therefore has its place at the Festival of Solidarity. Indeed, it is through the exchange of different perspectives that we can understand the world and become aware of the ways in which we can take action!

Ready to take the plunge? The first step is to set up your performer account on our website.
With your performer account, you’ll be able to:

Making your events visible

From your organiser’s dashboard, you can publish the events you are organising, along with all the information needed to take part. The ‘Events’ section allows every user to find out what’s going on near them. Listing your events on the national website also gives the media access to your information so they can publicise them.

Order marketing materials free of charge

From your performer’s dashboard, you’ll have access to the Festival’s posters, brochures, leaflets and bookmarks, which you can order free of charge. You’ll also be able to download materials that you can customise for printing or for use on social media.

Showcase your organisation or group

When you create your organisation profile, a public page is generated in the name of your organisation or collective. The public pages of organisations registered on the site can be viewed in the ‘Organisations’ section. Over a thousand organisations have already created their own!

Job vacancies, work placements and volunteering opportunities

It is also possible to get involved in the Festival of Solidarity through an internship, voluntary work or a job. You will find opportunities from organisations within the network on this page.
