From 2024 until 2026, the Festival of Solidarity is focusing on the theme ‘Environment and Peoples’ Rights’. That is why we are offering you resources that will enable us to explore these issues in greater depth and broaden our understanding across various areas.
CRID, together with the organisations Attac44, the Maison des Citoyens du Monde (MCM), and the organisations Terrafrik Guinée and Teje, invites you to take part in a webinar on extractivism on 15 January 2026 from 5 pm to 7 pm.
The event aims to raise awareness of the global consequences of the surge in mining activity, discuss the issues at stake and explore alternatives.
The speakers will be:
- Alpha Idi Balde (Terrafrik Guinea) / The situation in Africa: a geopolitical and environmental scandal
- Marie-Paule Murail (Attac) / Regulation and deregulation in Europe
- Rocío Torres Bobadilla (Colombian lawyer) / The implementation of neo-extractivist practices in Latin America
This webinar is open to everyone, with no prior knowledge required.
