The Festisol season has been extended: find out the new dates for 2026!

Network life Festisol News

For several years now, and particularly as the Festisol network has expanded internationally, there has been much discussion about the timing and dates of the event that brings us together. However, aligning the event with other major gatherings, such as the ALIMENTERRE festival, has proved to be a significant advantage.

Following a consultation carried out amongst the network’s members, which received over 200 responses from several countries (France, Congo, Guinea, the DRC, Chad, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Benin, Burkina Faso and Togo), the decision was taken: Festisol will now run for a month.

The 2026 Festival of Solidarity will take place from Friday 13 November to Sunday 13 December.

This extension allows us to better showcase initiatives already organised outside the initial two-week period, whilst offering greater flexibility to the groups. This does not mean that groups are obliged to run events for a whole month: each group remains free to commit to whatever duration suits them – two weeks, a month, or less – depending on their circumstances, provided that the main events take place during the official period.

See you in November for the 29th edition of Festisol!
